Product Overview

Congratulations - You Have Come to the Right Place for Genuine Organic Essiac Tea!
We include the entire sheep sorrel root in our formula. This means the sheep sorrel is 20% root.

We use powdered organic herbs and recommend that you leave them in the tea rather than strain them out--even though it would be easier and cheaper for us to do it the way everyone else does.

Sheep Sorrel and Essiac: What You Need to Know
Rene Caisse stated that the most important herb in the Essiac formula was the sheep sorrel. Furthermore, the sheep sorrel cannot be just the leaves. The sheep sorrel must contain the root, and at the right proportion, that is 20% root of the entire sheep sorrel plant. If the essiac doesn't contain the sheep sorrel with the root, the tea won't be nearly as effective.

Our Tea is Endorsed by Ty Bollinger
Due to the fact that our formula comes from the correct lineage and its integrity has been maintained, we passed the test of authenticity that allowed our tea to be featured on Ty Bollinger's documentary.

Ingredients
The essiac tea ingredients need to be blended in a specific ratio for the herbal tea to have the desired effect. When blended in the correct ratio, the eight Essiac tea ingredients are believed to have a more powerful effect than each of the herbs taken individually. In other words, the blend provides a synergistic effect on health above and beyond the health-promoting benefits of each of the herbs by themselves.

Genuine Organic Essiac Tea contains

  • Blessed Thistle
  • Burdock Root
  • Kelp
  • Red Clover
  • Sheep Sorrel (includes root)
  • Slippery Elm Bark
  • Turkey Rhubarb Root
  • Watercress

This very formula was tested clinically at the Brusch Medical Research Center in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Charles Brusch worked with Rene Caisse to develop the ideal form of orally administered Essiac, and the resulting eight herb formula is the same one that we carry on this website.

Directions

How-to Brew Essiac Tea
------------------------------------------------------------------------
To Brew 4 Litres of tea
(Typical size brew; lasts 10-11 days on aggressive dose)

  1. Boil 4 litres of distilled water or spring water in a large pot.
  2. Add 110 grams of Essiac herbs.
  3. Simmer for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Leave tea in the pot, turn the heat off, and let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least twelve hours.
  5. Pour the tea into a container and refrigerate (spring water container or glass bottle).

Note: Do not brew Essiac tea to keep on hand for longer than 2 weeks. It may spoil after 2 weeks. Try cutting the water used and the amount of herbs in half if you have some left over after 2 weeks. Always adjust the amount you brew at a time accordingly.

To Brew 1 Litre of tea
(Typical size brew; lasts 5-6 days on maintenance dose)

  1. Boil 1 litre of distilled water or spring water in a large pot.
  2. Add 30 grams of Essiac herbs.

Further Notes
Most other Essiac companies provide whole herbs and ask that you strain them out after brewing. The problem with straining the herbs is that you don't ingest the actual herb particles which also contain beneficial properties. It's healthier to eat an orange than to drink orange juice--and it's the same for Essiac. When you're using Essiac to improve your immune system and work on detox, you don't want to cut any corners. You want to do it right!

Essiac Tea Dosage Recommendations
------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Take your Essiac tea on an empty stomach for best results.
  • Avoid eating 1 hour before and 2 hours after meals.
  • It is recommended that you take 270 ml of tea per day, divided into three 90-ml doses.

For a more aggressive dosage - It is recommended that you take 270-540 mL of tea per day, divided into three 90-180 mL doses.

To support good health - Take 90 mL twice per day.

Do not brew Essiac tea more than two weeks ahead - it will stay good for about 14 days, but after that, you should make a fresh batch of tea.

If you do not like the taste, you may mix Essiac tea with fruit or vegetable juice. Most people consume Essiac tea cold. It's best not to heat it unless you have to in order to be able to drink it.
